Arriving by Air
Schiphol International Airport is about 15 km south-west of Amsterdam. There are regular trains going to Amsterdam Central Station. The journey by train from Schiphol to the centre of Amsterdam takes approximately 20 minutes.
Transport from Airport
Travel by Train from the Airport
The train station is located directly under the airport terminal. Train tickets should be bought before entering the train. Ticket machines accept Dutch debit cards and some also accept coins, but not credit cards. There is also a counter where you can purchase a ticket.
Take the train to the station Amsterdam Zuid. The train ticket costs EUR 2,50
Get off at Amsterdam Zuid and walk north towards the bus stop. It’s on a bridge a few minutes away from the train station.
Take bus 65 (direction KNSM Eiland/once every 10-15 minutes) – a ticket can be purchased on the bus with cash (EUR 2,60) or by using a prepaid travel card.
Get off at Scheldestraat. The Hotel Okura is two minutes walk away.
Airport Hotel Shuttle Bus
The Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle is an easy way to get to Hotel Okura.
The shuttle bus runs regularly from Schiphol Airport to Hotel Okura between 6.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. A reservation is not required. A one-way ticket costs EUR 16.

Travel by Taxi from the Airport
The taxi rank is located in front of the airport exit. Depending on traffic, a taxi can get you to the city centre in half an hour. A single trip will cost you approximately EUR 45. We advise against taking rides from drivers soliciting within the airport.
Parking at Hotel Okura
Hotel Okura has its own parking facilities. RIPE 65 attendees will get a discounted rate for parking of EUR 19,50 per 24 hours (regular rate is EUR 35 per 24 hours). Contact the RIPE 65 Registration Desk to get a parking card with the discounted rate. Cost of parking by the hour is EUR 4,00.
Get a Free Public Transportation Card
We have 100 public transportation passes available for RIPE 65 attendees not staying at the Hotel Okura. The passes are available at the Registration Desk on a first come, first serve basis.
